Early Exit+ is an optional premium feature available on eligible NBA & NFL pregame player prop wagers that expands the standard Early Exit Protected program for a 3% fee. The 3% fee is calculated based on the amount of your eligible wager.

While Early Exit Protected covers eligible injuries that occur before the second half begins, Early Exit+ extends that protection to eligible injuries occurring during the second half, including overtime.

Early Exit+ is not currently approved in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Tennessee.

If your eligible player leaves due to a verified injury or illness, and does not return, your wager may qualify for Early Exit+ protection.

Single wagers: Your original stake is refunded.
Parlays: The eligible player prop leg is voided, and your parlay is recalculated using the remaining eligible selections.

How does Early Exit+ work?

You must select Upgrade to Full Game Bet Protection on the bet slip before placing your wager for that wager to be eligible for Early Exit+. Early Exit+ is offered at DraftKings' sole and absolute discretion, and availability is not guaranteed for any particular wager.

If you choose to add Early Exit+:

A 3% Early Exit+ fee is added to your wager.
Your eligible pregame player prop wager receives expanded injury protection.
If your player leaves the game due to a verified injury or illness and does not return:
- Single wagers: Your original stake is refunded.
- Parlays: The eligible player prop leg is voided, and your parlay is recalculated using the remaining eligible selections.

Which wagers are eligible?

Early Exit+ is available on select Pre-game, and live full-game NFL and NBA player prop wagers. More information on live NFL market eligibility can be found in the chart below.

What isn't covered?

Early Exit+ does not apply to:

Under player prop selections
Quarter or half player props (1Q, 1H)
Non-NFL/NBA wagers
Retail wagers
Wagers that have already been unconditionally determined before the player exits
Players who leave for reasons other than a verified injury or illness (such as ejection, coaching decisions, or load management)

How does Early Exit+ work with parlays?

If your parlay includes one or more eligible Early Exit+ player prop legs:

Only the eligible player prop leg(s) receive Early Exit+ protection.
If an eligible leg qualifies for Early Exit+ protection, that leg is voided, and your parlay is recalculated using the remaining selections.
All legs not affected by Early Exit+ settle according to DraftKings Sportsbook Rules

What happens to the Early Exit+ fee?

If your wager qualifies for Early Exit+ protection:

Single wagers: Your original stake is refunded.
Parlays: The eligible player prop leg is voided, and your parlay is recalculated using the remaining eligible selections.

If your wager is voided for another reason, unrelated to injuries:

Single wagers: Both your original stake and the Early Exit+ fee are refunded.
Parlays: Eligible legs are settled according to the applicable Sportsbook Rules. If the full parlay wager or all Early Exit + eligible legs are voided under the Sportsbook Rules for a reason other than Early Exit+, both the applicable stake and the Early Exit+ fee are refunded.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to purchase Early Exit+?

You are not required to purchase Early Exit+. However, if you'd like to protect the second half of your eligible wager you have the option to purchase Early Exit+ for 3% of your stake.

Can I remove Early Exit+ after placing my wager?

No. Once your wager has been placed with Early Exit+, it cannot be added, removed, or modified.

Does Early Exit+ replace the standard Early Exit program?

No. Early Exit+ is a separate, optional feature that expands the protection offered by the standard Early Exit Protected program for eligible wagers.

Will I always receive my stake if my player gets injured?

No. Your wager must meet all Early Exit+ eligibility requirements, including that the player's injury or illness is verified by a statement by team or league sources within two hours after the game ends.
