How can I choose my Cool Off duration?
When setting a Cool Off period, you may be able to:
- Select one of the suggested durations.
- Enter a custom number of days.
Available duration options vary by jurisdiction. The options and allowed range will be displayed when you set your cool-off period.
In most jurisdictions, you can select a custom duration from 3 through 364 days. The minimum and maximum allowed may vary by jurisdiction. Entries below the minimum or above the maximum can’t be submitted.
Note: Depending on your location or product, custom cool-off durations may be unavailable. In these cases, locations, please select from the drop-down list of preset options available.
What happens during a Cool Off period?
During the Cool Off period:
- You can't log into your DraftKings account.
- You can't deposit.
- You can't enter fantasy sports or Pick6 contests.
- You can't make any sports wagers.
- You can't play in any casino games.
- You can't trade event contracts on DraftKings Predictions.
- You can’t order lottery tickets; lottery smart orders will be paused and prepaid orders will be canceled
- You can’t purchase event contract positions
- Existing entries and wagers will remain live; however, you won't be able to make any changes.
- If you have any open event contract positions on DraftKings Predictions at the time you Cool Off, you will not be able to sell those contracts
- You won’t receive any direct marketing from DraftKings.

How can I set a Cool Off?
- Open the Cool Off page in My Budget & Controls.
- Select a pre-configured duration or enter a custom number of days.
- If entering a custom duration, choose a number within the minimum and maximum allowed in your jurisdiction. Entries outside the allowed range can’t be submitted.

What happens to the funds in my DraftKings account while I'm in the Cool Off period?
Any funds deposited into DraftKings will remain in your account for the future. If you'd like to withdraw funds during a Cool Off period, please contact the DraftKings Customer Support Team for assistance.
What happens after the Cool Off period ends?
After the Cool Off period, your account will generally be fully accessible. In some jurisdictions, you’ll first see a confirmation screen asking whether you want to end or extend the Cool Off period.
- End Break: Select this option to regain access and play again.
- Extend Cool Off: Select this option to visit the Cool Off page, where you can submit another Cool Off period or choose self-exclusion.
Important: Selecting Extend Cool Off does not automatically start a new Cool Off period. You must submit another Cool Off period or self-exclusion. Otherwise, you won’t be able to play and will continue to see the confirmation screen until you select End Break or complete one of those actions.
Can I limit my access to DraftKings for a longer period of time?
