Slippage Settings let you choose the highest price you are willing to accept for an eligible Predictions trade.
Prices and the number of shares available can change quickly. If there are not enough shares available at the displayed price, your trade may not complete. Slippage Settings can help by allowing your order to fill at the best available price up to the maximum price you choose.
How it works
- Add an eligible market to your Trade Slip.
- Choose the highest price you are willing to accept, if Slippage Settings are available.
- Submit your trade.
Your order can fill at the best available price up to your selected limit. It will never fill above that limit.
Important things to know
- Slippage Settings do not guarantee that your trade will be completed.
- If shares are not available at or below your selected price, your order will not fill.
- We use price-band limits to help protect trades. If a price-band limit is lower than the maximum price you selected, the lower limit applies.
- If enough shares are available at the displayed price, your trade will be submitted at that price without using a higher limit.
- Your full trade amount may not be used if the order fills at a better price than your selected maximum. Any unused amount remains available in your account.
Slippage Settings are especially helpful for larger trades or markets with fewer shares available at the displayed price.
