What is Early Exit Eligible?
DraftKings Early Exit Eligible is a program where you may receive cash back if an eligible bet is significantly impacted by a player leaving a game early due to injury and not returning.
For applicable sports other than NBA and NFL, qualifying bets will:
- Settle according to house rules, and
- If eligible, cash may be credited within 24 hours of the event (or after the final winning leg settles for parlays).
- Refunds and recalculated payouts related to Early Exit will appear as a single combined transaction in your Transaction History under “Promotions and Rewards - Financial.”
Players located in Missouri with Early Exit selections, regardless of sport, will have those bets settle as Lost. If eligible, cash will be credited within 24 hours (or after the final winning leg settles for Parlays / SGP / SGPx / Round Robins).
How Early Exit Eligible Works - Single Bets
If a player exits a game due to injury, they are considered Early Exit Eligible, and an “Early Exit Eligible” tag is attached to the affected bet.

This tag indicates the bet is under review and does not guarantee a payout. The bet must meet all Early Exit qualification criteria.
Once confirmed that the player did not return:
- The bet settles according to house rules.
- If your bet settles as Lost, you’ll receive cash equal to your original stake within 24 hours of settlement.
Example:
- You place a $20 single bet on Jack Eichel (NHL) to score over 0.5 goals in an NHL game.
- Jack Eichel leaves the game due to injury during the 1st period with 0 goals scored and does not return.
- The bet is marked Early Exit Eligible.
- The game finishes and the bet settles according to house rules.
- Because the bet settles as Lost, DraftKings credits $20 in cash back to your account within 24 hours of settlement.
How Early Exit Eligible Works - Parlays / SGPs / SGPx / Round Robins
If a player exits a game early due to injury and does not return, the affected bet is marked with Early Exit Eligible. This tag indicates the bet is under review and does not guarantee a payout. The bet must meet all Early Exit qualification criteria.
Once it’s confirmed that the player did not return:
- The affected leg settles per house rules.
- All remaining legs stay active.
- The bet recalculates as if the affected leg was not included.
- If all remaining legs win, the bet pays out at the recalculated odds.
- If any remaining leg loses, the entire bet settles as Lost.
Example:
You place a $10 three-leg NHL parlay, with each leg priced at +100 (total odds +700):
- Jack Eichel to score a goal
- Connor McDavid over 0.5 points
- Toronto Maple Leafs to win
- Jack Eichel leaves the game due to injury during the 1st period with 0 goals scored and does not return.
- The parlay is marked Early Exit Eligible.
- Once confirmed, the Jack Eichel leg settles as Lost.
- The bet recalculates using the remaining two legs at +300 odds.
- If both remaining legs win, your parlay pays out at the recalculated odds.
- If either remaining leg loses, the entire parlay settles as Lost, and there is no payout.
How Early Exit Eligible Works With Profit Boosts - Single Bets
If a player exits a game early due to injury and does not return, the bet will be marked Early Exit Eligible. This tag indicates the bet is under review and does not guarantee a payout. The bet must meet all Early Exit qualification criteria.
Once it’s confirmed that the player did not return:
- The bet settles according to house rules.
- If the bet settles as Lost, cash equal to your original stake will be credited back into your account within 24 hours.
- Profit Boosts are not returned for Early Exit Eligible single bets.
Example:
You place a $25 single bet on Jack Eichel to record over 0.5 points in an NHL game, with a 30% Profit Boost applied.
- Jack Eichel leaves the game due to injury during the 1st period and does not return.
- The bet is marked Early Exit Eligible.
- The game finishes and the bet settles according to house rules.
- Because the bet settles as Lost, $25 in cash is credited to your account within 24 hours and the Profit Boost is not returned.
How Early Exit Eligible Works With Profit Boosts - Parlays / SGPs / SGPx / Round Robins
If a player exits a game early due to injury and does not return, the affected bet will be marked Early Exit Eligible. This tag indicates the bet is under review and does not guarantee a payout. The bet must meet all Early Exit qualification criteria.
Once it’s confirmed that the player did not return:
- The affected leg settles per house rules.
- The bet recalculates as if the affected leg was not included.
- If the remaining settled selections still meet the Profit Boost requirements (such as minimum odds or minimum number of legs), the Profit Boost applies to the recalculated payout.
- If the remaining selections no longer meet the boost requirements, the Profit Boost does not apply, and the Profit Boost is not returned.
Example:
You place a $15 NHL Same Game Parlay (SGP) with a 30% Profit Boost applied:
- Jack Eichel over 0.5 points
- Auston Matthews over 3.5 shots on goal
- Boston Bruins to win
- Jack Eichel leaves the game due to injury during the 1st period and does not return.
- The bet is marked Early Exit Eligible.
- Once confirmed, the Jack Eichel leg settles as Lost.
- The bet recalculates using the remaining two legs.
- If both remaining legs win and the bet still meets the Profit Boost requirements, the payout includes the 30% Profit Boost.
- If either remaining leg loses, the entire bet settles as Lost, and the Profit Boost is also lost.

- The bet settles according to house rules.
- Bonus Bet amount is refunded in cash within 24 hours of settlement.
