Picks with Multipliers and Standings Points

Some picks will be available with Pick Multipliers. You can find these picks by looking for the orange lightning bolt icon beneath them. The Pick Multiplier is the value next to the lightning bolt.

A Pick’s Multiplier will impact the lineup’s Base Multiplier and how the lineup’s share of Extra Winnings are calculated.

Can Pick Multipliers change?

Yes, Pick Multipliers can change after they have been posted. The Pick Multipliers at the time you submit your Pick Set are the Pick Multipliers your picks will be scored at.

How do Pick Multipliers impact a lineup’s Base Multiplier?

Your Base Multiplier is calculated by multiplying the Standard Base Multiplier of the sport and pick tier by the Pick Multiplier of all the picks in your lineup, capped at a Max Base Multiplier.

For example, you make a $1 3-pick NFL lineup:

Max Base Multiplier = 80x

Your Base Multiplier for this lineup is 7.8x (5x * 1x * 1.2x * 1.3x)

How do Pick Multipliers impact Extra Winnings?

For example, your $1 3-pick NFL lineup from the example above is entered into a contest with $10,000 in prizes for the 3/3 payout tier. All three of your picks are correct:

Your Standings Points for this lineup are 1.56 ($1 * 1x * 1.2x * 1.3x)

Your Extra Winnings are calculated by taking your share of all the Standing Points at the payout tier and multiplying by the guaranteed prize pool at the payout tier. Continuing with the example above:

Your contest winnings for this lineup are $10 ((1.56/1,560) * $10,000). The winnings for this lineup would appear as $7.80 in Base Payout and $2.20 in Extra Winnings.

What else can impact Extra Winnings?

Specific pick combinations may result in adjusted multipliers, impacting your Base Multiplier as well as your Standing Points calculation.
