What is BetGuard?

BetGuard is a free, centralized self-exclusion program provided by iGaming Ontario. It allows individuals to block themselves from accessing all regulated online gambling sites in Ontario, including DraftKings, using a single registration.

What does BetGuard do?

When you enroll in BetGuard:

• You choose a self-exclusion period (from 6 months up to 5 years)

• You are blocked from all regulated gaming sites in Ontario

• Your information is securely stored in a central registry used by operators to enforce your exclusion

After your selected term ends, an additional extended protection period may still apply unless you actively choose to return to play.

How do I self-exclude through BetGuard?

To enroll in BetGuard:

1. Visit BetGuard.ca

2. Create a BetGuard account

3. Complete identity verification (you'll need valid ID and contact information)

4. Select your self-exclusion duration

5. Confirm your enrollment

Once completed, your self-exclusion will apply across all regulated Ontario operators.

How do I check or manage my BetGuard status?

What happens to my DraftKings account?

If you are enrolled in BetGuard:

• Your DraftKings account will be restricted

• You will not be able to log in or place bets during your exclusion period
