Some picks will be available with Pick Multipliers. The More and Less sides of a pick may each have their own Pick Multiplier. This means the multiplier may be different depending on which side of the projection you select.
The orange lightning bolt icon marks picks with a multiplier of 1.1x or higher. The orange lightning bolt icon marks picks with a multiplier of 1.1x or higher. Pick Multiplier values below 1.1x display without the lightning bolt. A standard 1x contribution does not display a multiplier value. .
The Pick Multiplier associated with the side you select will impact your lineup’s Base Multiplier and how the lineup’s share of Extra Winnings is calculated.
Can Pick Multipliers change?
Yes. Pick Multipliers, including the multipliers associated with the More and Less sides of a pick, can change after they have been posted.
If "Accept All Changes" is turned ON in your Gameplay Settings, changes to a projection line and/or Pick Multiplier can be accepted without an additional acknowledgment. This includes a Pick Multiplier changing to a standard 1x contribution.
If "Accept All Changes" is turned OFF, you will be asked to acknowledge changes to the projection line and/or Pick Multiplier and retry your submission.
How do Pick Multipliers impact a lineup’s Base Multiplier?
Your Base Multiplier is calculated by multiplying the Standard Base Multiplier of the sport and pick tier by the Pick Multiplier of all the picks in your lineup, capped at a Max Base Multiplier.
When More and Less have different Pick Multipliers, the multiplier associated with the side you select is used to calculate your lineup’s Base Multiplier.
For example, you make a $1 3-pick NFL lineup:
- Standard Multiplier = 5x
- Pick 1 Multiplier = 1x
- Pick 2 Multiplier = 1.2x
- Pick 3 Multiplier = 1.3x
Max Base Multiplier = 80x
Your Base Multiplier for this lineup is 7.8x (5x * 1x * 1.2x * 1.3x).
How do Pick Multipliers impact Extra Winnings?
- To account for different Pick Multipliers in lineups, all lineups will be awarded Standings Points.
- Standings Points are calculated by multiplying your entry fee by the Pick Multipliers of your correct picks.
- When More and Less have different Pick Multipliers, the multiplier associated with the side included in your lineup is used in the Standings Points calculation.
- Standings Points can be found for each contest by downloading the contest CSV on your Recent Picks tab on desktop.
For example, your $1 3-pick NFL lineup from the example above is entered into a contest with $10,000 in total prizes. All three of your picks are correct:
- Entry Fee = $1
- Pick 1 Multiplier = 1x
- Pick 2 Multiplier = 1.2x
- Pick 3 Multiplier = 1.3x
Your Standings Points for this lineup are 1.56 ($1 * 1x * 1.2x * 1.3x).
Your Extra Winnings are calculated by dividing the Standings Points for this entry by the total Standings Points of all winning lineups in the contest and multiplying by the guaranteed prize pool. Continuing with the example above:
- Your Standings Points = 1.56
- Total Standings Points of All Winning Lineups (hypothetically) = 156
- Guaranteed Prize Pool = $10,000
Your contest winnings per entry for this lineup are ((1.56/156) * $10,000), or $10 in winnings. The winnings for this lineup would appear as $7.80 in Base Payout and $2.20 in Extra Winnings.
What else can impact Extra Winnings?
Specific pick combinations may result in adjusted multipliers, impacting your Base Multiplier as well as your Standings Points calculation.
Is there a limit to how much I can win?
- Each pick level will have a maximum Base Payout. This is the highest Base Multiplier that a lineup in that sport and pick level can receive.
- Lineups can win more than the Base Multiplier based on contest results.
- You can still submit a lineup that has hit the Base Limit. The Base Limit does not limit the calculation of Standings Points.
Payout Multiplier Changes
The following applies only to customers with the "Accept All Changes" setting turned OFF in your Gameplay Settings.
If the payout multiplier for your Pick Set changes between the time you submit your Pick Set and the time it is accepted by DraftKings, the following rules apply:
- If the change is up to two percent (2%) (higher or lower), your Pick Set will be accepted at the payout multiplier displayed and accepted by you at the time you submitted your Pick Set.
- If the change is more than two percent (2%) (higher or lower), you will be required to review and re-accept the updated payout multiplier before your Pick Set can be accepted.
For example only, if you submit a Pick Set with a 10.00x payout multiplier and, before it is accepted by DraftKings, the payout multiplier changes to 10.20x or 9.80x, your Pick Set will be accepted at the 10.00x payout multiplier displayed and accepted by you at the time you submitted your Pick Set.
If you have the "Accept All Changes" setting turned ON in your Gameplay Settings, your Pick Set will be accepted at the payout multiplier in effect at the time it is accepted by DraftKings, whether that payout multiplier is higher or lower than the payout multiplier displayed when you submitted your Pick Set.
