This update marks the beginning of a multiple-phase launch, which is focused on providing an enhanced, user-focused experience designed to make navigating your Fantasy Sports journey smoother, faster, and more enjoyable.
What’s New in the Fantasy Sports Homescreen?
The update introduces the foundation of a revamped interface and navigation system, setting the stage for a more intuitive Fantasy Sports experience. Here are the high-level updates you’ll notice:
- Streamlined Navigation: The updated navigation lets you access contests faster so you can focus on building your winning lineups.
- Improved Layout: A fresh and modern design that highlights the most important elements of your Fantasy Sports experience, while staying consistent with the DraftKings brand and the experience of our other apps.
- Example: An improved recommended contests carousel that displays top recommended contests directly on the homescreen, making it easier for you to find and access the contests you’re interested in.
- Enhanced Performance: Faster load times and optimized performance to keep up with your game-day needs.
- Contest Carousels: As part of our rollout, we’ve added Contest Carousels to the homescreen. This update helps surface more contests that are relevant to your gameplay, organized by categories such as "Single-Entry," "Free to Play," "Recommended for You," and more. These carousels create a cleaner, more scannable browsing experience to quickly find contests that interest you
These changes are designed with you in mind, prioritizing simplicity, clarity, and ease of use.
Why These Changes?
Our ultimate goal is to create a Fantasy Sports platform that’s as engaging and dynamic as the sports you love. By reimagining the homescreen and core navigation, we aim to:
- Make it easier to access contests, and information via an updated sports scroller as well as the My Activity dropdown.
- Create a refreshed seamless customer interface and experience across all devices and platforms.
- Enhance overall usability while keeping the focus on your favorite games; such as improving the experience for recommended contests.
- Create a Lineup or Contest from the Create and Play section of the homescreen.
