What is Early Exit Protected?

DraftKings Early Exit Protected applies to MLB, NBA, and NFL bets and follows the official Baseball, Basketball, and Football house rules.

If an NBA or NFL player leaves a game during the first half due to injury and does not return, eligible selections will be settled as Void.

If a starting pitcher leaves an MLB game for any reason before facing five batters, eligible bets on such pitcher will be Void (excluding "Under," X or fewer, live, or already determined bets).

If a starting batter leaves an MLB game for any reason before recording a second plate appearance in that game, eligible bets on such batter will be Void (excluding "Under," X or fewer, live, or already determined bets).

How Early Exit Protected Works - Single Bets

If an NBA or NFL player exits a game during the first half due to injury and does not return, the affected bet will be marked Early Exit Protected. For MLB, Early Exit Protection applies if a starting player leaves the game in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Baseball House Rules.

Once it’s confirmed that the player did not return:

Example:

You place a $20 single bet on Stephen Curry to score over 24.5 points in an NBA game.

 

How Early Exit Protected Works - Parlays / SGP / SGPx / Round Robins

If an NBA or NFL player exits a game during the first half due to injury and does not return, the affected bet will be marked Early Exit Protected. For MLB, Early Exit Protection applies if a starting player leaves the game in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Baseball House Rules.

Once it’s confirmed that the player did not return:

Example:

You place a $15 three-leg NBA parlay, with each leg priced at +100 (total odds +700):

  1. Stephen Curry over 24.5 points
  2. LeBron James over 7.5 rebounds
  3. Boston Celtics to win

 

How Early Exit Protected Works With Profit Boosts - Single Bets

If an NBA or NFL player exits a game during the first half due to injury and does not return, the affected bet will be marked Early Exit Protected. For MLB, Early Exit Protection applies if a starting player leaves the game in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Baseball House Rules.

Once it’s confirmed that the player did not return:

Example:

You place a $20 single bet on Stephen Curry to score over 24.5 points in an NBA game, with a 30% Profit Boost applied.

If an NBA or NFL player exits a game during the first half due to injury and does not return, the affected bet will be marked Early Exit Protected. For MLB, Early Exit Protection applies if a starting player leaves the game in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Baseball House Rules.

Once it’s confirmed that the player did not return:

You place a $20 three-leg NBA Same Game Parlay (SGP) with a 30% Profit Boost applied:

  1. Stephen Curry over 24.5 points
  2. LeBron James over 7.5 rebounds

If an NBA or NFL player exits a game during the first half due to injury and does not return, the affected bet will be marked Early Exit Protected. For MLB, Early Exit Protection applies if a starting player leaves the game in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Baseball House Rules.

Once it’s confirmed that the player did not return:

Example:

You place a $10 single bet on Stephen Curry to score over 24.5 points in an NBA game using a $10 Bonus Bet.
